The heart of the Hempfield Band Program is the Concert Ensemble. During Symphonic Band (10-12th Grade) students develop their individual technique and ensemble skills through the study and performance of medium-advanced wind band repertoire. Additionally, students that participate in Concert Ensembles enjoy a rewarding emotional experience that develops the soft skills necessary to be successful, not just in music, but in life! Both Concert Band and Symphonic Band meet every other day for 78 minutes throughout the entire school year. Both groups perform four concerts per year (October, January, March, May) in addition to other community and civic events as well as adjudication festivals across the region!
